Belarus KGB records terrorist manifestationsin Lithuania, we are ready for these challenges

The State Security Committee of Belarus (KGB) has information about employees of foreign intelligence services who are training militants in Poland, Ukraine and the Baltic States, who are planned to be later used to seize power in our country by force – as noted by Konstantin Bychek, Deputy Chief of the KGB Investigation Department, in his talk with Belarus 1 TV channel

“KGB knows these people; we also know special services employees who are training them. We are aware of funds that – under a plausible pretext – finance terrorist activities,” he said. According to Konstantin Bychek, the training of militants is carried out on the basis of special units and armed formations: Grom in Poland, the Lithuanian Riflemen’s Union in Lithuania, as well as the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and Ukrainian military intelligence units.

“After receiving primary training, the militants are tested on the battlefield in eastern Ukraine, after which they return, become instructors, prepare terrorist attacks, and develop plans for an armed invasion of the territory of Belarus, including with the support of the regular troops of these countries,” said the KGB representative.

“The State Security Committee records such terrorist manifestations. We are ready for these challenges. At the instruction of the Head of State, we are taking appropriate measures. Fugitive terrorists and the collective West behind them have no chance. We have sufficient capabilities to neutralise this threat in a timely manner.”
